This is probably the largest change that fans of Destiny 2 can point to with the revamp of Trials of Osiris. While other quality of life changes were made, such as the addition of BattlEye Anti-Cheat, the increased access to Trials has made the mode more enjoyable. This raises the question of why Destiny 2 isn’t using matchmaking for other higher-level activities. Post-game content like Nightfall: The Ordeal and raids could all benefit from matchmaking for players, and hopefully this change will come in the future....

Namely, Destiny 2 players have begun reporting that they couldn’t accept any further bounties, even though their bounty inventory was showing up almost empty. Bungie promptly responded with the explanation that Season of the Risen War Table bounties seem to be causing the issue. As part of an early preview of Destiny 2, some players were able to go hands-on with the game’s upcoming beta. And with that came a lot of screenshots from the game, and a few reveals. The focus of most of those reveals has been on the weapon mods and shaders, but there is an additional detail that seemingly has gone overlooked. When comparing the trees of the same weapon used by different players, there appear to be different perks available....

For those who may not know, Destiny Sets has been up for some time now. The website, developed by a fan named Josh Hunt, allows Destiny 2 players to track the completion progress of gear sets from various events, factions, and activities. All players have to do is connect their Bungie.net accounts to the website and all data on their various collections will be a displayed in an easily accessible way....

Players have also been enjoying a massive overhaul of most features and mechanics thanks to the Sandbox Update which arrived last week. Not only was it intended to prepare the game for Forsaken, but it adjusted all sorts of things including weapons and armor, class abilities, Crucible mechanics, and PvE gameplay as well. Many of these changes have updated many elements to the Weekly Reset which is now overlayed inside the director instead of along the side of the screen in a menu....

According to DaXLR, he is an aspiring prop maker, and has been known to dabble in crafting plenty of different wares over the years. Interestingly enough, however, the Guardian’s creation of the Destiny scout rifle is the first instance of him making an actual prop replica from a well-known intellectual property, and he figured that if it could pass the often brutal scrutiny of the Internet, then he would feel as if he had been successful in what he calls his “personal Crucible....

The latest self-imposed challenge mode is killing Aksis, the final boss in the raid, using only melee attacks, grenades, and supers. They handled adds mainly with melee attacks while using a method of activating their Supers and lobbing tons of Fusion grenades at Aksis during the damage phase. Obviously, due to the mechanics of the fight, there were some weapons fired, specifically the Scorch Cannons required to take down the Servitors that contain the SIVA Charge to make Aksis teleport....

And it seems, as a reaction, Destiny’s developer Bungie has flipped the switch to the other extreme. Trials of Osiris this week is on First Light, a huge moon map usually reserved for Destiny’s vehicle-centric playlist Combined Arms. Shotguns will do very little good here with the map’s long sightlines and huge field of play. Closing the gap will be hard for those who are used to the style of play in most of Destiny’s maps, which are generally small and lend themselves to weapons like pulse rifles, hand cannons, and shotguns....

There’s no better way to spot these changes than in the game’s recently released Santa Modesta trailer, which sees Destroy All Humans! protagonist Crypto taking on a fictional, picturesque town in Southern California. The footage highlights Crypto laying waste to the sunny vacation spot, probing locals, blowing up tanks, and, of course, jumping into his flying saucer to decimate the surrounding area. A new video from DidYouKnowGaming sheds some light on two of these cancelled Star Wars video games. As 2003 drew to a close, LucasArts faced a difficult decision; an internal team was working on a game starring Chewbacca, and Factor 5 was pitching a follow-up to its hugely popular Rogue Squadron series — but the publisher could only give the greenlight to one title. LucasArts’ Chewbacca game would have been set in the period between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope....

In a media release on Sunday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia announced that it had arrested Dayton Beasley and accused him of supplying inmates at the Wayne County Jail with contraband. The department said Beasley has been stripped of his authority as a detention officer and arrested on multiple charges, including trading with inmates without consent of a warden or superintendent and crossing the guard line with a controlled substance....

This news comes courtesy of the official Quantic Dream Twitter account, which confirmed that the Detroit: Become Human trailer was made in-game. According to Quantic Dream, the trailer was entirely real-time, playable, in-game footage, courtesy of the PS4 Pro. Given the stunning look of the trailer itself, this is certainly an impressive feat. After all, Detroit: Become Human still awaiting a release date, which has led many to wonder exactly how far along the development path the title is....

On Twitter, Devolver said that it is “genuinely bummed” about E3 2020 being canceled but that it is trying to find another way to make game announcements. The publisher said that it plans on holding an E3 2020 stream, which it is calling a Devolver Direct, or it may hold a press conference. Devolver also teased that there could be “something more” but it hasn’t revealed any more details about what that could be....
