Prior to this upcoming change, players could hold on to completed bounties and use them as a way to gain extra powerful rewards in a new Season. It’s why some Destiny 2 players were already at the power level cap by the time the Scourge of the Past raid launched, despite only having three days to grind. These players held onto completed bounties from Iron Banner, tons of Last Wish raid keys, Wanted bounties from Spider, and more in order to ensure they had tons of powerful rewards to boost their characters....

Well, that may not be the case after all. In an earnings call today, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said that Destiny’s microtransactions and paid DLC can co-exist, meaning players may be seeing both in the near future. Hirshberg said that because both have sold well, there’s a place for both. During the earnings call, an analyst asked a question concerning the rumored change in Destiny’s business model that would allow microtransactions to foot the bill for free expansions....

Super Hero Likely to be the last unfilled node in The Dawning Record Book for most players is the Super Hero achievement. To complete it, players will need to get 50 Super Medals in Strikes with Strike Scoring enabled. Earning Super Medals is much more involved than just getting a kill here and there with a Super. Super Medals are awarded for killing three or more enemies with one Super. So first off, don’t use a Super if it is only going to hit one or two enemies....

However, that doesn’t mean that there are 16 unique modifiers, just a new combination of them. With that said, Melee Kill Bonus has returned (so it appears that the score bonuses will not repeat on a predictable cycle, as week 1’s modifier boosted Precision Kills). Here are all the modifiers for this week: Airborne - Players deal more damage while in the air. Chaff - Player radar is disabled. Melee Kill Bonus - Melee kills are worth more points....

As Destiny heads towards its one year anniversary, Bungie is planning on a massive overhaul before the next major expansion arrives. Starting with weapon balancing, the update also looks to streamline a number of aspects including bounty and quest chains. While gamers continue to wait for the massive update coming prior to Destiny’s The Taken King expansion, Bungie released a smaller hot fix which corrects a number of issues and also affects a certain unique auto rifle which had previously stopped dropping for players....

To that end, Destiny’s developer Bungie has previewed some changes to Silver Dust that will hit alongside this year’s Festival of the Lost live event. Bungie community manager Cozmo posted the sneak peek, saying that this will be one of many changes to help the Silver Dust economy feel more rewarding for players and improve their experience: Currently, to apply an ornament to any armor piece (such as armor gained in Trials of Osiris, Wrath of the Machine, or the Days of Iron set from the Record Book) players need an ornament AND Silver Dust....

One Destiny raid team, for example, just recently discovered that it is possible to beat Aksis, the main boss of Wrath of the Machine, without ever using the core, slam mechanic of the fight. This team was able to take down the SIVA-infected boss simply through basic damage, without most of the buffs or phases and without using some of the most successful raid strategies. As readers can see in the video below, the Destiny team took down Aksis using a combination of Weapons of Light buffs, Golden Gun shots, and the elemental cannons....

Although not much is known about the actual specs of Destiny’s Zen Meteor sniper rifle, its description definitely makes it sound like a formidable piece of equipment. Regarding the weapon, developers for the action-MMO have written, “Complete awareness, complete focus. A mind sharpened by diligence to a single deadly point” to give it an air of mystique and to reflect a sense of tranquility that can only come from years of discipline....

The next time fans will be able to glimpse the new content coming this fall is on a Twitch stream titled “Cosmodrome Winter Tour,” hosted by Bungie next Wednesday, July 20 at 10 a.m. Pacific time. However, before fans get too carried away that this will be a reveal of the new Plaguelands destination, Bungie has made it clear that it isn’t lifting that veil yet: That also probably means that fans shouldn’t expect to see the new Fallen Devil Splicer enemy faction, which appears to only be found inside of the Plaguelands....

That game is none other than Destroy All Humans! which originally debuted on consoles all the way back in 2005. The French development studio behind Detroit: Become Human has recently seen its share of controversy with some reports claiming a toxic work environment. The company now seems to be firing back at the French media outlets that initially ran the stories that accused both studio head Guillaume de Fondaumier, along with game director and script writer David Cage of displaying toxic behavior. Quantic Dream is in the process of suing a few of the outlets and the reporters that ran the stories....

In a recent post on Twitter, user b0tster, who’s real name is Lilith Walther, has provided a few teaser clips of some new assets being added into their visual downgrade of Bloodborne. Essentially, what the dev is doing is adding cheat codes into their mid-1990s PlayStation recreation. However, to help fascilitate the ease with which these codes can be entered, they’ve also gone ahead and added in a digital keyboard to the game, which the first tweet shows off with the classic programming “HELLO WORLD” being entered in the menu....

According to a recent report from PC Gamer, some developers who have been working with the Steam Deck have been praising the system after spending some time getting to grips with it. Speaking to a number of spokespeople for studios, the consensus is that the device has been surprisingly easy to work with. Jonathan Smårs, one of the programmers for Valheim, said that they were surprised by “how well games work” on the Deck, as well as the way it feels to play on it, adding that the studio’s Viking-themed survival game ran from day one....

The 12 secret missions in Devil May Cry 5 are hidden behind special glyphs that act as gateways to a realm where the missions are undertaken. To activate the glyphs, players will need to line up its symbols by adjusting the game’s camera perspective. Once all the pieces are lined up, the glyph will glow bright red and display a prompt with the words “Secret Mission” on it. Some of the missions are very difficult, so if one is proving too challenging, the game allows players to try it again later from the main menu....
