Destiny 2 is currently in its final season before the release of 2022’s The Witch Queen expansion, Season of the Lost. The Destiny 2 challenge was first announced as part of a roadmap detailing planned events leading up to the launch of the Shadowkeep expansion. Bungie finally unveiled the Mars Community Challenge toward the end of August. Tasks included defeating 175,000 Wave 7 Escalation Protocol bosses, defeating 300,000,000 Hive on Mars, defeating Nokris 150,000 times and Xol 100,000 times, and finally using 300,000 Override Frequencies. Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph has introduced several new weapons, objectives, and a secret Sparrow Exotic that has been achieved by some players who have destroyed fifty security drones behind recently opened doors. Beyond the arsenal of weapons and wardrobe of armor in Destiny 2, players can further customize their ships, raid banners, and Sparrows to express themselves in the open-world planets across the FPS’ universe. While there is a plethora of Destiny 2 Sparrows to equip already, some Destiny 2 players are getting ahead of the updates to unlock a new Sparrow Exotic before Bungie may have accounted for....

The H.E.L.M. is returning in Season of the Splicer and is getting a few changes for the new season. Bungie had promised in the latest “This Week at Bungie” article that reveals will be coming “very soon.” Traditionally, season reveals happen one week before they’re released, but in this case, “very soon” might very well have meant “tomorrow.” RELATED: Another Destiny 2 Expansion Leak Details New Destinations, Enemies, and More First and foremost, although it is hard to see on low brightness, there appears to be some kind of audio waveform visualization or a histogram in the video....

With time, fashion and customization have become much more interesting in Destiny 2, and especially so with the way the system changed thanks to the introduction of Armor Synthesis just last season. The relatively new addition was a much-needed one simply because, with the Armor 2.0 update that came with Shadowkeep, players couldn’t put on whatever armor they wanted, and so fashion became a difficult endeavor outside of universal ornaments coming from season passes and the Eververse store....

That magic can wane as players start running the newest Raid multiple times, and the same holds true for the thrill of hunting for all the activity’s exclusive gear. As such, older Raids and Dungeons tend to be run only a handful of times until players have no real reason to go back, as the loot is not enticing anymore. Bungie recently announced that a weekly and seasonal Rotator system for both Dungeons and Raids is coming to Destiny 2 with Season 17, but the incentive might need an extra punch to truly motivate Guardians to go back to past glories....

Iron Banner has had its ups and downs since the first game. It was even dubbed “Iron Lagger” by some players due to how bad connection could get during the chaotic 6v6 matches. From now until Destiny 2’s weekly reset on May 18, players can earn a new Trials of Osiris Void SMG called Shayura’s Wrath, and pretty easily, too. The gun acts as this week’s three-wins reward, meaning any fireteams that manage to secure three wins in Trials can grab it, and the wins don’t need to be back-to-back, either. As usual, the weapon also drops via Saint 14’s The End Game bounty, which gives players the three-win reward for simply participating — just in case three wins proves too difficult....

The three sisters began a journey that led them to the depths of Fundament, where they pledged their allegiance to their respective Worm Gods to save their race and prevent a catastrophe called the Syzygy. The Leviathan, a disciple of the Traveler, was killed by the new Hive, and the Worm Gods were freed, setting the premise for the Traveler’s actions that led to the events of Destiny 2 after a long time....

In a post identifying known urgent issues with Destiny 2: Forsaken, Bungie confirmed that the area players glitched into is a raid space and that the chest in one of the hidden chests in the raid. While “none of the rewards they have granted will be rescinded,” those chests are “being suppressed” until Bungie can ensure that the only way to access that area is from the raid itself....

While the bonus XP bug from Season 13 was unintentional, the Extra Large XP payouts are in Season 14 meant to be there. According to Bungie, this payout is comparable to the amount of XP that Destiny 2 fans will need to earn to complete half of a Season Pass rank. Much like last week, the Prison of Elders rotation has introduced a completely new (is it though?) arena at the level 34 difficulty. Last week it was Qodron the Forever Eater who entered the fray, and introduced a few new boss fight mechanics, but this week we’re talking about Kaliks Reborn in the Machine Wrath arena. The Kaliks Reborn boss fight in Destiny is unlike any boss fight players have seen before, if only because it introduces a few new mechanics....

The Dawning Armor Set This set of illuminated armor that has been shown off in many of the trailers for Destiny’s latest live event is available only through Treasures of the Dawning. But unlike October’s Festival of the Lost event, players will be able to get their hands on a handful of Treasures of the Dawning without having to lay down any actual cash. First, hitting Rank 5 on each character in Sparrow Racing League will award a Treasure of the Dawning....

Unfortunately, a lot of the talk during the Destiny stream was focused on design elements that fans are already well aware of. The Twitch chat tried to get answers to questions like, “How do you spawn Randal Perfected,” and what the “dance room” might mean, but the Bungie devs never really hit on anything particularly illuminating. In fact, the raid team was pretty proficient at the raid, so they breezed through it rather quickly....

As Bungie had previously revealed, Destiny’s third raid was designed differently then the past two efforts. For King’s Fall, Bungie designed the Hard Mode first, and then began subtracting elements until they felt the experience was “easier” enough to be called Normal mode. As such, most will be surprised to find out that Hard Mode isn’t too different from Normal Mode; it just has a few additional mechanics for the main boss encounters, and some very slight changes....

The lawsuit did provide some answers on that, however, as it revealed that there had been rifts between O’Donnell and (Destiny’s publisher) Activision since E3 2013. O’Donnell had created Music of the Spheres, music that was meant to be used in Destiny for the next 10 years, and so the composer was angry when the publisher chose not to use his sounds in the game’s E3 trailer. Music of the Spheres also didn’t get a standalone release, as O’Donnell had hoped and from then on, his attitude towards his work soured, also upsetting those around him....

While many fans have attempted to flawlessly execute a winning strategy in the challenge, YouTube users Eneo, DeMo x MeTaL z, Zouk Morta, MH TryHarder, Alex Felwinter, and Mattyex83 passed with flying colors. Currently regarded as the world’s fastest Atheon kill at the 390 light level, which was brought to the Vault of Glass in the Age of Triumph event, the team strategy was recorded and posted to YouTube and later Reddit....

Destiny continues to ride a wave of success, supporting a large install base with constant updates and a pair of expansion packs. Looking to capitalize on the game’s continued momentum, Bungie is getting ready to launch its biggest expansion yet as Destiny: The Taken King nears release in a couple of months. Though gamers are now two months from the next major release for Destiny, Bungie has slowly pulled back the layers, revealing what sort of content fans can expect to see within the game....
