The October 2018 report, conducted by Morabito Consultants, a structural engineering firm, uncovered “abundant cracking and spalling of varying degrees” in the “concrete columns, beams and walls” of the building’s parking garage, as well as “major structural damage to the concrete structural slab” that held up the ground-floor pool deck. Morabito Consultants provided the Champlain Towers South Condominium Association with an estimate of the likely costs of the extensive and necessary repairs, but did not signal any imminent danger....

Unfortunately, there were no jackpot winners for the Mega Millions lottery on July 26, pushing the next estimated jackpot to $1.02 billion. The white balls drawn were 7, 29, 60, 63 and 66 whilst the yellow Mega Ball was 15 and the Megaplier X3. Whilst nobody scooped the jackpot, nine lucky ticket holders took the second prize of $1 million, one of whom had the Megaplier so won $3 million....

As a result of no one taking home the main prize, the money will roll over to a pretty hefty sum of $409 million on Sunday. Bungie announced in its weekly blog that it will be reducing the required amount of EAZ miniboss kills by half in a patch coming next week to Destiny 2, bringing the total to 50 instead of 100. In addition, completing the final boss round will grant an additional 5 points of progress. That incentive to finish an EAZ run appears to be a direct counter to a problem occurring in EAZ matchmaking that is seeing many players leaving the activity once the final boss round begins because players are finding it more efficient to back out and load into the activity again in order to tackle minibosses from the beginning rather than stick around through the final boss....

However, with the newest raid known as Deep Stone Crypt, players have found a way to bypass certain aspects giving an opportunity for solo players to get in and unlock a couple of chests and earn Spoils of Conquest. The process involved a glitch which prevented a damaging debuff called Frostbite from impacting the player, intended to make the first section more challenging to overcome. While it offered a surefire way to score some easy treasure runs in the first part of the Raid, Bungie has closed the loophole thanks to its most recent update....

More specifically, following the weekly reset that will occur later today, January 21, players will be able to obtain Destiny 2’s Bastion quest directly from Saint-14 without running through the Corridors of Time at all. This information was confirmed by Bungie yesterday on its official Twitter account, and the developer has provided some additional details on the situation. Starting on Tuesday, October 31, one encounter of Destiny 2’s raid will be selected to have a challenge mode. Just as challenge modes have functioned in the past, this will require raid teams to approach and complete that encounter in a special way. The game will not explain to players how to complete each challenge mode, but there will be an on-screen prompt should the team fail the challenge. If nothing else, the failure notification helps players deduce what does and doesn’t work....

Destiny 2 players often experience that feeling of joy when they finally get the Raid Exotic to drop after many runs, especially those without bad luck protection like Vex Mythoclast and Eyes of Tomorrow. This is not tied exclusively to Exotic items, but to any piece of gear that can be valuable to players, and that is what makes for a great looter-shooter. However, the same thing does not apply to Destiny 2’s class items - meaning Hunter Cloaks, Titan Marks, and Warlock Bonds - and that makes these drops frustrating to receive from Engrams or regularly playing the game....

Now, Bungie Bounties will be returning in Destiny 2, and the first of them will be going live tonight, September 27, from 8:00pm to 10:00pm Pacific time. Community manager Cozmo made the announcement late last night on the official Bungie website, summing up the appeal of the Destiny 2 event in one succinct sentence: The bounty for tonight will be placed on a player named Gigz, but Cozmo stated the format would be changing up a bit and that Gigz would be protected by a fireteam of Bungie staff: imtylerdurden, a senior designer named Josh Hamrick; Tocom, a senior designer named Kevin Yanes; and Cozmo_BNG himself, the Destiny 2 community manager and on-site guide to all of the most exciting events and announcements that take place in the game....

By being part of a Destiny 2 clan, players can work as a collective to unlock various rewards and bonuses for themselves and their fellow clanmates. For Destiny 2 Season 2 these rewards and objectives include: Completing the weekly clan milestone rewards an additional 5 Legendary shards Improves rewards for eliminating Vex enemies Chance to receive two Mercury tokens instead of one when collecting Simulation Seeds Chance to gain a second Crucible token whenever you receive one....

Thanks to some digging by the Destiny 2 community, it appears Bungie is planning some sort of event or cutscene in the near future. Over on Reddit, a new legendary emblem has been discovered in the game’s database called Seraph’s Wings, which carries the familiar Rasputin logo and a dot matrix pattern reminiscent of the maps found in the bunker. As of right now, this emblem isn’t available in the game and the database ties it to something called Witness Rasputin’s Full Power....

In an interview with Eurogamer, Bungie general manager Justin Truman confirmed that, at some point, Destiny 2 will be vaulting the Forsaken expansion content. Forsaken is a notable expansion for Destiny 2, as it features the death of Cayde-6 at the hands of Uldren Sov. According to Truman, Destiny 2 will vault the Forsaken content because it could be confusing for new players. In some of the available storylines, Uldren Sov is presented as a villain, but in the ongoing Season of the Chosen storyline, he is presented as a hero....

So it’s easy to be at least a little excited at today’s news that Bungie has officially hired one of the top writers from Guild Wars 2 as its new “Loremaster.” John Ryan is leaving ArenaNet after over five years working on lore, narrative and dialogue for its flagship game. He’s also written content for Microsoft Game Studios and before that worked for various media publications, including MSNBC. Ryan posted about his departure from ArenaNet on Twitter, and said that he plans to start working at Bungie next week....

So far, Bungie has announced a Limited Edition PS4 console themed around Destiny: The Taken King and unveiled a special video Q&A series with the game’s main developers. However, the big announcement was saved for a little later in the day, when Bungie finally revealed how they would reward their most dedicated players. Now, it’s true that Bungie has already detailed the Year 1 VIP rewards (shader, emote, sparrow) that each Destiny veteran will earn, but this latest reward is something a little different....

That’s what happened this weekend when some players discovered a new room in the King’s Fall Raid. Hours were spent trying to uncover its riddles, but before things could get too out of hand, Bungie Creative Director Luke Smith confirmed on Twitter today that the secret room is just an Easter Egg.
