Specifically, the “erroneous removal of raid keys” that would occur before this hot fix was caused by either creating a new character or logging into Destiny 2 with an alt for the first time of the week. Raid keys disappearing under those circumstances were unintended, and the solution Bungie put into place to fix it was to nix the removal of raid keys entirely.
