Ever since Diablo 4 was announced in 2019, Blizzard has been dropping details about what players can expect from the upcoming game. From its intentions to return to the darker, more macabre aesthetics and themes of the earlier games to the new additions that Blizzard will be bringing to the table, Diablo 4 appears to have a good mix of classic elements from the series and new ones. While some aspects of the game still remain under wraps ahead of its release, Diablo 4’s story has started to take shape thanks to information released by the developer in the last few months....

The game will feature plenty of elements that fans of the franchise will be familiar with, from its re-playable, procedurally generated dungeons to its loot-focused gameplay. Diablo 4 will also be looking to embrace the dark fantasy aesthetics of its predecessors, but it will be adding new aspects like PvP interactions and a vast open-world for players to explore as well. Another slightly newer aspect is Blizzard’s reported commitment to providing years of post-launch content – welcome news to fans who are hoping to dine out on Diablo 4 for a good long while....

Fans from across the community were quick to show their annoyance with the changes to the new subclass, with some finding it exceptionally aggravating that Warlocks were the primary target of this nerf. Other community members, and Bungie’s own community outreach, have asked for patience from Destiny 2 players, attempting to assure that the changes are intended to be a positive move towards balance. The desire to win a match or a round can be so great that sportsmanship and the act of enjoying the game become side aspects of the experience. This is not something exclusive to Destiny 2, of course, but rather something that tends to happen whenever a game revolves around competitive matches. Shadowkeep releases October 1st, delayed earlier this month by developer Bungie from its previous launch date of September 17th. Shadowkeep will bring back the Moon as an explorable destination from Destiny 1, which will also see the return of fan-favorite character Eris Morn. Obviously, much of Shadowkeep and Season 8’s content is focused on the Hive who have established a new fortress on the Moon. But the Hive won’t be the only enemy race of focus in the upcoming season that will also kick off Destiny 2’s Year 3....

While grinding has always been a part of Destiny 2, as the Light Grind shows, Bungie has only worsened the issue by not allowing armor from different seasons to slot seasonal mods. Although the developer did re-release past loot to make it compatible with the newest gear, this system forced players to grind even more, and generated even more frustration. However, Bungie’s upcoming approach to armor mods claimed to resolve this issue....

Some of the best new Exotics from The Witch Queen come in the form of class-specific ones that are available through Legend and Master Lost Sector farming or as a reward for completing the Legendary campaign. Some rapidly became very popular in PvP, such as the new Renewal Grasps Exotic arms for Stasis Hunters and the Loreley Splendor Exotic Helm for Solar Titans, and are currently considered among the best items in the game when running activities from Destiny 2’s Crucible....

Season of the Seraph features auto rifles, bows, hand cannons, grenade launchers, pulse rifles, scout rifles, and submachine guns as weapons capable of stunning the three different Champion types. Regardless of the popularity some of these weapon types have earned, their anti-Champion mods have some very underwhelming performances. The current Season of the Seraph introduces a new Exotic weapon, which has an intrinsic perk for stunning Champions. The new Exotic taking up a kinetic weapon slot heavily restricts the remainder of players’ available anti-Champion weaponry, making the case that Exotic weapons should be able to stack anti-Champion mods with existing perks....

Along with the new campaign, the shooter has also received an extensive list of Exotic weapons and armor, with the Osteo Striga SMG being one of the most sought-after weapons in the game. However, there is a fair bit of confusion amongst the Destiny community members about how they can get their hands on the weapon. While some believe that it’s a Deluxe Edition exclusive, other reports have suggested that it’s one of the exotics that makes good use of the game’s new crafting mechanics....

As reported by GameSpot, Activision Blizzard used time during its quarterly earnings report to confirm that Destiny 2 is going to be launched as a “full” sequel to 2014’s original release sometime during 2017. While the official release date has yet to be announced, Activision Blizzard was positive that the game will be more popular than the first entry, with its planned add-on content being used as a means to “set the stage for growth....

This second Faction Rally inside of season two also increases the loot pool beyond what was offered at the previous event. Bungie has added three more faction guns, a tactic which originally frustrated the community after it was found out that the full suite of gear and weapons wouldn’t be available until the very last event of the season. Winning faction weapons include a Future War Cult Scout Rifle, Dead Orbit Pulse Rifle, and a New Monarchy Pulse Rifle....

Destiny 2: Forsaken promises a new raid with the DLC’s release, a raid that Bungie says contains more bosses than any other raid the developer has ever made. During the reveal of Forsaken, The Dreaming City was shown off and described as the location where the raid and endgame content would take place. With the announcement of more raid lairs, the potential and reality of The Dreaming City is coming into focus....

It has been a popular fan request since Destiny’s Year 2: “Bungie, please bring back old raids at current Light levels.” The possibility of that wish being fulfilled looks to be the closest to reality it has ever been, based on teases from Bungie about Destiny’s last live event, Age of Triumph. In the article on Bungie’s blog announcing the Age of Triumph live event (the last content update for Destiny this year before Bungie will start turning fans’ focus to the sequel targeted for release later this year), multiple images point toward Destiny’s first (and probably most-beloved) raid, Vault of Glass coming back if not all of the old raids....
