In Bungie’s latest “This Week At Bungie” weekly blog post, the Destiny 2 developer laid out its plans to update the game in the next patch with a number of bug fixes. Buried among a number of balancing and fixes is an update to one of the highest DPS weapons currently available, more in an effort to fix a broken piece of gear as opposed to adjusting the intended weapon tiers....
Just like many of their major events that arrive in the world of Destiny 2, the PC version unlocks officially at 10am PDT on Tuesday, October 24. For players not within that US time zone, Bungie put together a handy image showing the corresponding time for a major city within a different time zone around the world. The image doesn’t cover everyone however, so the developer has gone one step further and created an event page with converted times for many of the major cities of the world....
Bungie has issued a warning to Destiny 2 players that even if they have fulfilled the requirements of the Undying Title, they must still claim it in order for it to remain active. Once Season of Dawn begins, the Undying Seal will disappear from the Pursuits tab in Destiny 2 and players will no longer be able to complete the associated Triumphs. First up, the Destiny 2 Season of Dawn Pass offers players a brand new exotic scout rifle called Symmetry. It seems that this new exotic will function similarly to Season of the Undying’s Eriana’s Vow, as it will be granted to those that purchase the premium version of the season pass instantly, while those on the free path will not obtain it until Level 35. It remains to be seen if obtaining the catalyst for Symmetry will be similar to how that was done for Eriana’s Vow, but it does appear that the Level 100 Season Pass reward will be an ornament for this new scout rifle....

There is an ongoing debate about Supers and abilities in general in Destiny 2. Some players want more control over gunplay and others are more inclined to see how Supers and abilities can shape the game. Melee Supers, in particular, can feel out of place and even outright clunky because of how the game is currently designed. Several encounters are inherently easier when approaching the enemy from afar, favoring ranged play over close-quarters combat....
As weapon and armor makers, foundries in Destiny 2 are not only responsible for the run-of-the-mill common, rare, and legendary pieces of gear, but also many exotic weapons. With over 100 exotic weapons available in Destiny 2, many of the most iconic such as Hard Light, SUROS Regime, and Gjallarhorn can be traced back to an individual foundry. Gjallarhorn specifically comes from the Crux/Lomar foundry, which has made quite a few rocket launchers for Guardians to wield in both Destiny and Destiny 2....
Concerning the latter, images associated with the new weapons and armor for Destiny 2’s Season of Opulence have been made available online, and while not every single piece has been positively identified as one thing or another, there are a few pieces that have the community talking. Namely, it appears that the Truth, an exotic rocket launcher from Destiny year one, is returning. Many are also claiming one of the hand cannons to be Rose, but there is some debate there....
As recently revealed, the Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes content does bring back the armor upgrade system. Once July 30 arrives, guardians can meet up with seasonal vendor Eva Levante near the Statue of Heroes at the Tower to begin the quest. While the post doesn’t go into specifics as to what the challenges will be, the system follows last year where players start at the lowest level of Drained and work their way up through Renewed, then Majestic, and finally Masterwork....
As mentioned, The Witch Queen is the next major expansion to Destiny 2 as guardians battle Savathun, who has somehow been reborn in The Traveler’s Light. Savathun isn’t the only Hive empowered by the Light, either, as guardians will have to battle the Hive guardians of the Lucent Brood inside Savathun’s mysterious and dangerous Throne World. Guardians will need to venture into the darkest depths of the Throne World to discover how Savathun stole the Light and what they must do to take it back....
Full details will come tomorrow, Friday December 4, but Bungie has previewed that every Titan subclass will experience changes in the December update: Those changes could come as soon as next week, as long as Bungie doesn’t run into an major hiccups along the way. Patches normally drop on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Pacific, so if the pattern holds up, the update could go live December 8. The snowy and mountainous landscape remains a marker for an ancient battle between the Iron Lords and SIVA virus, where Devil Splicers have since taken up residence and the glowing red tendrils of SIVA now infect the land once more. In fact, the winter theme has spread into the Cosmodrome area, updating the look and feel to convey a passage of time in the starting area that all Destiny players have been familiar with for the past two years....
Previously seen as random Sterling Treasure loot, players in Rise of Iron will now be able to purchase these reputation boosters. For 100 Silver, players can boost the rate of experience gain for themselves and their fire team in Destiny’s House of Elders, Crucible, or Vanguard. The booster change is likely due to the fact that the primary method for acquiring these boosters came through Sterling Treasures, which are essentially being replaced by new Radiant Treasure in Rise of Iron....
The changes to Special Ammo is active, with more details on how the change will affect Trials of Osiris matches. While in a normal match the Special Ammo spawns every minute, in Elimination matches Special Ammo will spawn initially 30 seconds into a match and then spawn more every 45 seconds. Speaking of Elimination, the round time limit has been reduced to 90 seconds, which is down from two minutes....
This year, Moments of Triumph has returned, offering players a new set of tasks to complete and new rewards to claim. However, we already knew the specific objectives for this year’s Moments, as the set leaked a few weeks ago.
