Fergusson has confirmed that Diablo 2: Resurrected will not have personal loot at launch. For those who may be unfamiliar with the term, personal loot in a dungeon crawling game like this is loot that only appears for the player. This way, everyone gets their own loot drops and they don’t have to worry about fighting with their partners over loot. The original Diablo 2 did not have a personal loot system, instead opting for universal loot, and it seems the same will hold true for Resurrected - at launch, at least....

Blizzard was understandably tight-lipped about mounts in Diablo 4, though it did reveal some very exciting details. For one, mounts are customizable in Diablo 4, a feature not even World of Warcraft’s mounts offers. Players can apparently change their mounts saddle, their armor, or even their horseshoes. This mount gear can also improve a mount’s defense or even abilities, though Blizzard doesn’t expound on exactly what a mount is capable of....

There were three second prize winners on Wednesday, with two taking home $1 million and another winning $2 million thanks to the Power Play....

Loot Crate says the contents of the box are being licensed and co-developed with Bungie, and that it will include collectibles from the game’s upcoming expansions. Considering the fact that, by the time the Loot Crate ships in the spring, Destiny 2 will have both of its Year 1 expansions out, expect content that pulls from vanilla Destiny 2, the upcoming Curse of Osiris, as well as the second Year 1 expansion launching in spring 2018....

Nightfall Strikes in Destiny 2 are essentially the amped-up versions of co-op activities, which incorporate unique modifiers like elements that vary in damage abilities, enemies sporting additional shields, and Guardians taking more damage in certain positions. As seen in the brief video below, the Destiny 2 fan known as Schendzie has now hit the power level of 650 with their Warlock on PC. The Guardian’s primary kinetic weapon is the highly coveted Breakneck auto rifle, their choice energy weapon is the Right Side of Wrong pulse rifle, and their equipped power weapon is The Wardcliff Coil. When it comes to gear, Schendzie’s character is sporting the Hood of the Great Hunt, Gloves of the Great Hunt, the Phoenix Protocol chest armor, and the Boots of the Great Hunt....

Incredibly, one Destiny 2 player took to the new dungeon, Grasp of Avarice, to take on its first boss encounter except with a twist: this player kills the boss without a fireteam, on Master difficulty, and in a single damage cycle. During the Season of Dawn, Destiny 2 players will unlock two exotic weapon quests. One of those quests will be for the Devil’s Ruin sidearm and will go live next Tuesday, January 7th. The other is for the Bastion exotic fusion rifle and it will go live on January 28th. These include Hollowed Lair, Exodus Crash, and The Corrupted, which have also been quite buggy for a long time, thus making them the least popular among Destiny 2 community members. All three Nightfalls include tough boss fights that also happen to glitch from time to time, with Exodus Crash and The Corrupted being especially annoying throughout the entire run. For the former, this is the case because of the insane amount of damage dealt by Pikes at the beginning, collecting Arc Pulses that tend to not appear correctly, and the fact that wiping at the boss forces players to backtrack to the previous room for Platinum rewards....

A mysterious design has been discovered in the Warmind Rasputin’s chambers that appears to be deliberately hinting at some kind of hidden secret. The design consists of smaller diamonds arranged in a circle around a larger one, with some of the diamonds making up the bows of keys, and each diamond containing a symbol. If that wasn’t a large enough hint that something can be unlocked, then the symbol in the middle might, as it is distinctly shaped like a keyhole....

The Drifter, who is a nameless rogue, was voiced originally by Haberkorn himself. In the stream, Haberkorn can be heard using the same voice styling he employed for the character. While the game’s audio is lower than his own, it comes through as a genuine reflection of the character. At one point, one person watching reminds Haberkorn to listen to himself. With The Witch Queen tackling the biggest threat to mankind in the form of the Hive getting the powers of the Light, the expansion is likely going to feature most of Destiny 2’s cast, especially following the events of Season of the Lost. Ikora Rey is confirmed to be investigating the lead-up to The Witch Queen and helping the Guardians traverse Savathun’s Throne World. Zavala is presumably playing a role as well, and it’s not impossible that players will get to see more of Queen Mara and Crow as well....

One of the common experiences in Destiny 2 is that Crucible matches rarely end when a team reaches the score limit. Instead, most games conclude once the imposed timer on the game mode hits zero. Bungie is looking to make those score limits a bit easier to achieve instead of having games go to full time. Here are the adjustments coming to each mode: Clash score limit reduced from 75 to 50 Control score limit reduced from 100 to 90...

However, because Destiny 2 is an incredibly massive game, so much so that Bungie had to come up with the so-called Destiny Content Vault to keep a reasonable performance and file size, there are still lingering bugs that date back to Year One. One of the most iconic examples to be made here is Telesto, an Exotic fusion rifle that was added with the game’s first expansion, Curse of Osiris....

As seen below in Ghaul’s introduction trailer, the Destiny 2 villain is described as a “commander, destroyer, and megalomaniac,” which certainly rings true considering his decision to invade Earth and destroy everything that the Guardians believe in and hold dear. If that weren’t enough to convince players of Ghaul’s badness, with such a deep, gravelly voice and his set of giant, imposing armor on display, it’s easy for fans to immediately recognize that this is a major enemy that needs to be taken down....

While Golden Gun has been a somewhat viable super in PvP, it’s utility in PvE is marginal without the Celestial Nighthawk exotic helmet. However, Bungie is giving the super a major buff that allows players to recoup a bullet on any Golden Gun kill, thereby extending its use. In the video below, Destiny 2 fans can see how much larger the Golden Gun lasts and how many more enemies it can eliminate thanks to this change....

The Isenfyre Token drops from the final boss in the Wrath of the Machine raid. If players take that item back to the new Felwinter Peak social space and go to the fire burning in the main courtyard, a new prompt will appear: “Present Isenfyre Token.” When players hit the button to interact and present the token, the fire ignites bigger and then sends their Guardian high up into the air and across the bridge to the tower across the bridge....

According to the update, Tess Everis is planning on updating her stock at the Eververse Trading Company when the update hits next week. While the details of what exactly is changing isn’t known quite yet, Bungie does warn that now is a good time to purchase any items that players have had their eyes on, as once the update hits, new items will be taking their place. While the paragraph regarding the changes is cryptic, it does appear that Bungie will keep some of the old items available through a grab bag of sorts, but spending Silver on these bags will produce random results....

As a matter of fact, it’s been common knowledge for a while that Bungie’s aims for Destiny involve a 10 year plan on the scale of epics such as Lord of the Rings, and is set to continually evolve well beyond the upcoming release of the highly anticipated The Taken King expansion with new areas, enemy factions, Strikes, Raids, and gear. Additionally, the game developer has now confirmed that there will be no need for players to switch characters between the decade’s upcoming add-ons or potential sequel DLCs, for fans’ Guardians will be available to them until the very end....
