How did this class get to be the best that Diablo Immortal has to offer for PvE players? Many will try out the Demon Hunter without this kind of result. To truly compete as a chart-topper, this guide has looked across all servers and compiled a build based on what the best players are using.

Due to several factors, like gear, skills, reforging, and upgrades, it is impossible to list the exact quantities for many of the numbers detailed here. Any variable number has been replaced with an ‘X’ to signify its potential to change.

Skill Selection

These skills have no variation among the elite players. The build is different than the standard Vengeance Demon Hunter, but the skills election is identical. Using Vengeance to boost all other attacks, laying waste, then escaping from bad situations with Daring Swing is a core gameplay loop for many Demon Hunters, even those who don’t use guides.

Gear

The bulk of gamers will be hunting down their ideal pieces of legendary gear after taking the time to beat the game. But don’t forget to track down the set bonus pieces after choosing them from the list. A complete set gives three additional effects, on par with the legendary bonuses from the regular gear.

Primary Gear

Knowing the order of the skills, the gear falls into place. Anything that buffs Vengeance gets some serious favoritism. Next, invest in gear that strengthens any moves that the Demon Hunter uses.

Set Items

Behind the power of Vengeance, the Demon Hunter’s primary attacks are also the most vital source of damage. The other skills play a role, but they are to be cast quickly so the Demon Hunter can continue auto-attacking.

Reforge Bonuses

Even for paid players, reforge attribute bonuses can be guided, but are not guaranteed completely. With enough rerolls, any player can eventually get the exact attribute they want, but this will take time and luck, even for those who have the money. Therefore, several different attributes have been listed within the same family, in order of preference.

Family Bonus

The Wildfire attributes are the main reason to stick within this family, but don’t discount the family bonus. This build packs so much punch that multiple Hydras will make a meaningful impact in every rift clear.

Attributes

By now, it should be clear that physical damage is the clear star of the show, so boosting the primary attack is a wise idea. Critical hits and extra damage against low-health enemies will help out immensely when combating the final boss.

Gems

There are two kinds of gems to consider for this build: the legendary gems and the regular gems. Players of all income levels will be using this guide, so there are three charts for legendary gems to choose from. Probability demands that even paying for an advantage will still make it tough to get the right gems, so feel free to mix and match from the charts based on the character’s most valuable stats.

Legendary Gems

Most straight-up Vengeance builds will invest in damage, but high-level Challenge Rifts don’t allow players the luxury of killing everything before the monsters get any hits off. There are a few more “tank” gems that should be considered.

The 2-Star gems are only weaker than 5-Star gems in terms of Resonance. The benefits here, especially to regular attacks and primary attacks, will make those lucky enough to receive these gems plenty happy.

With a wider selection of 1-Star gems, there are plenty that the Demon Hunter will enjoy using until they get lucky and receive rarer quality gems. Raw damage works nicely for these lower levels of Challenge Rifts.

Regular Gem Preference

There is only a slight favoring of tanking gems over their damage-dealing counterparts. Many of the best have a split. Determine if it’s damage-dealing or tanking that is holding the Demon Hunter back and adjust accordingly.
