The farmhouse in Devour is the map that introduces new players to this cooperative survival horror game, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Scavenging from resources and sacrificing goats to stop a demon-possessed cult member can be daunting, but with a few quick tips and some strong nerves, the player will have no problem surviving Devour’s farmhouse.
Life On The Farm
Completing the ritual to defeat Anna and claim victory at the farmhouse requires the player to sacrifice ten goats, luring them with hay and then burning them with fuel. Upon spawning into the map the player will see an iron gate and barrel. Jump onto the barrel, then jump over the gate to get to the farmhouse. Like other levels, neither Anna nor her demonic help will attack players until a certain trigger is set off. In the case of the farmhouse, discovering Anna in her room is the trigger.

Before triggering Anna, it’s advisable to look around the map and begin gathering resources. Typically, the best place to stash resources is near the front and back door of the farmhouse so that the players can fetch what they need when the moment arrives without wasting too much time.
After gathering all the desired resources, use a fuel can to light the altar on fire, then walk to the nearby goat pen and free the goats. Once freed, the goats will through the basement door and into the house, allowing the players to follow them.
Anna On The Hunt
As is the case on other maps, many of the rooms which the players need to access are locked. To gain entry, keys must be found. They are scattered randomly across the map. Approach Anna to trigger the hunt, causing Anna to disappear and the door near her to unlock. Players can now explore the farmhouse.

Exploration is not without its risks, however, since interacting with Anna causes both Anna and her demons to begin patrolling the area. The players’ new task isn’t difficult, but it can be time-consuming: find keys, use those keys to access new areas of the house, and lure goats (using hay) so that they can be sacrificed (using fuel).
Like other bosses in Devour, the more sacrifices that occur and the closer that players come to reaching their goal, the more agitated the boss will become. This demonic agitation will lead to increased attacks from the boss and her minions, so players must be wary.
Into The Attic
Only five goats were initially freed, so the players must free and sacrifice five more to complete the ritual. The last five goats are in the farmhouse’s attic, and players will need the attic cage key to gain entry and free the goats. Once the goats are freed, they too must be lured and sacrificed by the same methods as the original five. Burning the final goat completes the ritual, exorcising the demon from Anna and pacifying her followers, completing the farmhouse map.
Devour is available now on PC.
