Never one to shy away from potential profits, Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have officially announced a collector’s edition for the cyberpunk-themed action-RPG hybrid, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Although the collection’s contents haven’t been finalized yet, the Tokyo-based publisher is letting fans step in to decide what stuff they think the collector’s edition for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided should contain, by letting them partake in a poll on the game’s official website to pick the top three most-desired items for the package.
Once fans head over to the voting page, they’ll encounter a list of ten potential products to be included, of which they can choose and rank any three. The selections differ greatly in terms of both value and aesthetics. They range from the small, such as a pin set and a mini Mankind Divided art book that shows off details of the game’s design and future setting, to the large, like the “exquisitely detailed” Adam Jensen statue and the replica of his combat rifle. And even though the image of the gun is an artist’s rendering of what the weapon might be like once the real thing becomes available, it looks spectacular.
If those choices don’t float enough folks’ boats, the poll has other items as well, such as a “Praxis Kit” lunchbox, a “Welcome to Golem City” metal sign, and a tattoo sleeve that emulates the design of Adam Jensen’s augmented body. Plus, people can also pick between a small bust of the protagonist, and what’s being called a “mini replica weapons set” that has four weapons from the game.
With all of the selections in mind, Square Enix’s allowance of ranking only three options intimates that not all of the items will be available in the set. Having said that, fans of the series who wish to have their say in what the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s collector’s edition contains should vote before the final decisions are made.
Are you interested in a collector’s edition for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided? If so, which of the pieces shown in the poll do you want to see included in the set?
