While all of that gives players a lot to look forward to when Rise of Iron launches September 20th, a Bungie developer has just given fans of color coordination something else to cheer about. Bungie game director Chris Barrett took to Twitter late Friday afternoon to confirm that class armor will once again be affected by shaders in the coming expansion.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, a “shader” in Destiny allows players to change the color of just about all of their non-gun equipment so that Guardians can customize their look and stand out a bit from the crowd if desired. Class armor used to be included within the long list of items that could be changed by shaders, but then Bungie started excluding it without really going into detail on why.

Some players have speculated that the change might have had something to do with the limits for memory resources on last-gen consoles. The fact that shaders are now coming back to class armor shortly after the release of the final patch for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 seems to bolster this theory. Rise of Iron will not be released on last-gen consoles, and this likely has freed up Bungie to take more advantage of the power provided by the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the expansion.

If a collection does release in August, it’s probably safe to assume that Destiny: The Collection will include all expansion packs released for Destiny prior to Rise of Iron. Bungie followed a similar strategy with The Taken King: Legendary Edition.

Destiny is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Rise of Iron will release September 20, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
