In a post identifying known urgent issues with Destiny 2: Forsaken, Bungie confirmed that the area players glitched into is a raid space and that the chest in one of the hidden chests in the raid. While “none of the rewards they have granted will be rescinded,” those chests are “being suppressed” until Bungie can ensure that the only way to access that area is from the raid itself.
In the past, Bungie has punished players who exploited the game with methods including locking specific items in players’ inventory so they can’t equip them and even banning them from certain activities or the entire game altogether. There are different levels of punishment that Bungie can level at players, but it appears Bungie’s taking the blame for this one and not passing on any kind of ill effects to players.
The Last Wish raid will officially open this Friday, September 14 at 10 a.m. PDT. As always, there will be a race to World First to see which team of players can be the first to conquer the game’s pinnacle PvE activity. Those who glitched into the raid area to open the raid chest may get an early advantage over other teams due to the Powerful Rewards and raid-specific loot that drops from the chest considering the raid’s recommended level. Although, it could have very little impact in the grand scheme of things once the World First race begins on Friday.
