The game has also been plagued by several Telesto glitches over the past few weeks, which became all the rage on social media due to the gun constantly bugging and breaking the game, generating plenty of memes and jokes within the Destiny 2 community. However, Telesto wasn’t the only thing that managed to get the players’ attention with its glitches. In fact, numerous players have been reporting issues with damage taken from enemies scaling based on their FPS, which is quite concerning.

A recent Reddit post by a user named UselessDeadMemes, who also shared the findings of the FPS issue not long ago, further highlights how detrimental this ordeal is to the game. Destiny 2 players with next-gen consoles or well-performing PCs are being punished by the game for having more FPS than others, and that’s because some enemy types seem to scale faster-hitting attacks more based on higher FPS. Apparently, some of these hits will either one-shot players or reduce them to critical health values with FPS higher than 120 and up to 160, whereas the same hits will do reduced damage to players with FPS equal or lower than 60.
Again, this mainly works when Destiny 2 players are up against fast-hitting enemies, such as Ogres, Shriekers, Cabal Colossi, Hive Wizards, and Fallen Captains. Thus, capping FPS to 30 seems the ideal choice in order to die less frequently to some enemies, even though it means that players will encounter a bit of lag and a subpar gaming experience.
Bungie seems oblivious to this glitch, which doesn’t bode well for its fix being sooner rather than later, unfortunately. This is not the first time the Destiny 2 community points out something Bungie is still unaware of, and the hope is that such a game-breaking issue will be fixed as soon as possible.
