Even though the boss isn’t going away completely, the news is sitting well with a number of Destiny 2 players who are upset at the random nature and massive bad luck that’s possible while trying to chase down the special Primeval boss.
The confirmation about the Malfeasance boss came from Bungie Community Manager, Cozmo, over on the Destiny subreddit:
Many players responded to Cozmo’s post saying that they do not like how the rare and random nature of the boss spawning. For those unaware with the Malfeasance quest, to kick it off requires one particular new boss to randomly spawn as the Primeval during a game. Some players report that they’ve played tens of games this week without ever seeing it. On top of just getting it to spawn, then players need to be the first to defeat their Primeval in order to get the quest.
With the boss already being rare during the week of the Dreaming City’s full curse, fans of Reddit were not happy with the news that the boss will have its spawn rates even further reduced for the next two weeks. In response to the complaints leveled by this group of fans, Cozmo said he has made the team at Bungie aware of the feedback about the boss’s spawn rate.
Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
