The Deepsight crafting system has seen plenty of changes since its arrival into Destiny 2 back in February. Initially, acquiring Deepsight Weapons was a bit rarer than players had hoped, forcing Bungie to increase their drop rates in Destiny 2 activities like the Wellspring. Each season has introduced more craftable weapons, even using seasonal upgrades to increase their odds of finding more red bordered weapon patterns. While not nearly as bad as the initial drop rate bug, Bungie is making a few changes to Deepsight weapons in the next upcoming patch.

In the latest weekly blog post, Bungie gave Destiny 2 fans an early look at a tiny portion of the patch notes for the next update. Deepsight weapons were a big focus of the section, with Bungie confirming that the next update will be making it easier to obtain Season of Plunder weapon patterns. In fact, to ease the pressure of finding these particular patterns, players who have unlocked the Double Perk Weapon Spoils Crew Upgrade drops a Deepsight modded weapon the first time a player focuses a weapon each week.

In addition, the Deepsight modded weapon from the Hidden Compartment Crew Upgrade properly refreshes at every weekly reset for Destiny 2. This upgrade from the Star Chart at the H.E.L.M. was unfortunately one of the perks that wasn’t functioning as intended, leaving many players disappointed for spending limited resource on unlocking it. According to the post, this issue wasn’t easy to fix, but Bungie developers were able to get it done in time to be included for the hot fix scheduled to go out in the first week of October.

While fans will have to wait sometime next week for the full list of changes planned in the hotfix, many Destiny 2 Hunter players are hoping for an update on the Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk exotic. Bungie ultimately disabled the Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk exotic earlier in September due to a bug which unintentionally buffs Titan allied players when the Hunter triggered the armor’s unique ability. Unfortunately, there has been no update on a potential solution at the moment, leaving Hunters left to simply wait.

Destiny 2 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
