Loot Crate says the contents of the box are being licensed and co-developed with Bungie, and that it will include collectibles from the game’s upcoming expansions. Considering the fact that, by the time the Loot Crate ships in the spring, Destiny 2 will have both of its Year 1 expansions out, expect content that pulls from vanilla Destiny 2, the upcoming Curse of Osiris, as well as the second Year 1 expansion launching in spring 2018.

Past Loot Crates have featured items from the Destiny universe, but Loot Crate CEO Chris Davis says this fully-dedicated Destiny 2 crate is something special:

Loot Crate says the Destiny 2 Limited Edition Crate is worth over $90, but it is available for pre-order now for $49.99 (plus shipping and handling) for those in the United States, and $74.99 for international fans.

In addition, everyone who pre-orders will receive a collectible pin of Cayde-6 with his chicken comrade. Pre-orders can be made through Loot Crate’s website. Past gaming-themed crates have included titles like Fallout 4 and Mass Effect, with each offering some fun goodies for fans of the respective titles.

Meanwhile, Destiny 2’s next expansion, Curse of Osiris, is due out next week. In addition, Bungie is set to address fan feedback today amidst a growing sentiment of negativity surrounding the game. Some might argue that the timing of this announcement could have been better, but it’s very likely that today’s blog post will boost community morale and may increase interest in the loot crate.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
